The Science of Prophecy

A year of rebellion and new leadership, new technology...

2011 will be a year of release, rebellion, coups, and quick growth of technology.  This has actually been ramping up since the end of 2010, when Jupiter, the planet of growth met with Uranus, the planet of chaos, rebellion, and unexpected change.  These are both in the water sign Pisces, indicating that the downtrodden and those that have been made vulnerable will suddenly “lose it”.  These are also indicators of unexpected and destructive water issues, which have been in many places over the world, notably Australia.  We are going to move into “unexpected fire” once we get into Aries times—late March and early April.  But unexpected fire is also revolution, and in this case, the impulsive Aries will bring coups and sudden mob (or group) action.  (Serious flash mobs!)

After these many years of being lost, unsure and unable about what to do, folks finally release their anger and pain.  Some people who never thought of themselves as activists will suddenly take on that role.  At the end of January, many people have taken to the streets to take action, and these will become a flood that flows on into April, with stability not even being glimpsed until Taurus-time.(May)

Even so, what starts as a line-up of planets in Aquarius (we, the people) will end with violence, war, and a dictatorial energy end of March/April. True enough, new leaders need to step forward to direct and guide, but the old guard will not go down without a fight, so the God of War will feel comfortable and have lots to do at this time.

Clearly, this is a time for creative guidance, instant action, good use of instant technology, and opportunity for development of new technology.  Yet  while we should all “get busy”, the negative side of Mars (war, fighting) will be clearly felt.

Astronomical influences require a major transformation being forced on the status quo by those who feel victimized.  Expect to see some folks freed by as early as February 2nd.  What happens, while difficult, is a good and spiritual thing, and meant to be.  This upheaval cannot be stopped.  A beloved leader will try to lend a hand by February 7, but will not be able to stop that which is destiny, and so this person will come and go.

An announcement will be made circa February 19, but the message will be vague, because there is no clear answer about what to do.  Some of the messages within the following week will be painful, because there is not much that can be done, and yet there is a heavy responsibility to be had.  Expect people to hang on despite the pain during the end of February.  There will be another quite sudden announcement during the first week of March, where someone appears to martyr themselves, but there are already many martyrs and have been for decades.  By the 12th March, someone may say, you are free—or I am free—in other words, a message of release that will allow growth.

While pals and partners have stood aside while all this happens, suddenly these partners step up and try to control the situation, after all the pain has occurred.  This will be an attempt to quell more upheaval and fighting, although it may not be possible to control it.

Once 6 planets, including Mars line up in Aries on April 2, the real work of moving forward will begin, although random violence or anger will still be present through mid-April.  Then will follow a difficult but true period of growth.  Those looking at Egypt will find that Mubarak will try to hold out to March, but he will have to give up his seat or be taken down forcibly.  He is a fixed sign who doesn’t get that it is well over the time for him to go, and so he will be ushered out, possibly with a knife to his throat.  His day is done.  The end of April brings hope and new beginnings, although it does not promise an end to battles or war of words.  New leaders will stand up to lead or to control, but know that the “old ways” and old regimes are going to go.  This becomes a beacon of hope to many downtrodden peoples in the world, and all dictators and totalitarian governments should quake, because it is a time for independence and individuals to stand up.

Juneteenth will bring a stand-off of some kind, a battle in the war of words.

Saturn, the planet teaching us discipline and restraint, will go full force again in June.  For the most part, this planet has been doing its best to keep down the upheaval that’s been fomenting all year.  But, in retrograde, the planet was weaker, so it has been harder to keep partnerships harmonious and to keep things from splitting wide open.  As it gets it power back, there will be some major pressures and head-butting.  Under Saturn in Libra, we must learn to negotiate, study law (and design and beauty!), and we must toe the line.  We must attend to our partnerships.  Although we will be more attentive in the second half of the year, we will also put more pressure to bear in certain circumstances.  Look for a stronger enforcement of laws and closer, more oppressive relationships.

Mercury, the planet of communication, goes retrograde from March 31 to April 22 and August 4-August 28.  When this happens, look for communication and transportation breakdowns.  Any treaties, promises or contracts made at this time will not carry through.  Delays rule.  This planet encourages us to be patient.

Neptune and Chiron go retro in late June, lessening the pain, lessening the healing, but keeping the confusion.  Later on,  Uranus joins them but slows down chaotic elements.

Jupiter, the planet of growth and opportunity, goes retro as of September 1st and stays that way until the end of the year.  While we may make monetary gains the first 9 months of the year, those earnings will slow in the last 4 months.  Get your plans in the works before then, so when the slow-down comes, you will be okay to sit and wait on 2012.

Here is a breakdown of what’s happening this year in northern Africa and the Middle East.

Algeria:  I have 2 charts for Algeria, one for Independence and one for postwar Algeria.  The birthday chart shows the unrest of the people, and this has been bubbling for some time.  They feel used.  March feels especially challenging as growing pains cause true pain, and a sudden announcement is made within the first 2 weeks.  Look for scuffles in early April, and not until June do we see security, as there are many talks and possibly a viable partnership for rulership of this country.  I am concerned about October through December as there seems to be an attempt to suppress, and so upheaval results.  And just when everybody thinks it’s over, at year’s end, the suppression will be back.  This country has true growing pains, and it will be a slow transformation, but they are going to get it together, with help from outside the country.  The postwar chart shows similar battling in April and attempts to oppress.  But destiny is calling for this country to be free to grow in a new way.  I see hope down the line for this country, although the healing will be slow and challenging.

Egypt has had revolution bubbling just beneath the surface for a long long time.  The 1971 constitution chart shows rebellion that will rise and fall for the next 4 years or so, with leaders coming and going.  The chart in which they freed themselves from the UK shows a recognition of having been taken advantage of, this heritage having been continued by leaders of its own.  Again, by April, this country frees itself and claims independence.  The first chart shows a Mars return which gives a 2 and a half year cycle of growth, and the second is a Saturn return, promising a new 30 year era in its wake.  The chart pertaining to the republic also shows a new 30 year era beginning.  Mubarak is a stubborn Taurus trying to hold on, but his life chart shows nothing but chaos and craziness and unexpected changes every day.  He may not survive this, and the longer he holds on to the situation, the more likely he is to meet his demise.  He will be out by March, but he will not, in his heart, be done.  I will be surprised if he makes it until April.  Egypt has been everlasting.  Now begins a period of new growth and partnership.  All those countries with Saturn in Libra will have other countries to turn to in times of need, and both Egypt and Algeria have this.

Libya is going through a gradual transformation but that does not make it less important.  In view of what’s going on, the law is watching their people and making sure no one dares to step out in the way that neighboring countries have.  Nevertheless, the people there have empathy for their neighbors and are somewhat depressed.  Make no mistake, they will try for their freedom too, although they are held down by a stronger hand.  We will see this in the fall and then in spring of next year, 2012.  Gaddafi is nervous, as well he should be.  His leadership will be tested in the coming year, as all of northern Africa rises up.

Tunisia has clearly freed themselves, but that does not mean it won’t be rocky.  While they are a beacon, there will be many more battles and rebellions in coming months, but they will also be the first to get it together. Their journey too goes on into next year.  What Tunisia needs to watch out for is the hand of the fundamentalists, who may want to take advantage of the instability.  They too will oppress, so that is where Tunis needs to take care.

Yemen: All of the Yemen charts show that growing pains have been especially painful.  They are moving into a new two year cycle of leadership, and their unification chart shows most of this rebellion being a thing of the past, but now the transformation needs to come.  One problem may be that there is a north and south, and unification is hard.  They are clearly looking for a new inspirational leader, and they will get one.  One of the things happening here is a need for spiritual transformation, as well.  Again, this will take place at a snail’s pace, but still, nothing can stop it.  They will get a solid leader who speaks sense, and then there will be a duo or group of people who take charge, probably by June/July.  Although they need a spiritual reformation, remember that the old guard is still there and dislikes change.

Jordan: The Jordan birth chart exudes nervousness and uncertainty.  They are holding it together, but I predict the end of something in October.  The royalty needs to get out of there, because revolution is in the air, and Jordan will not be untouched in March and April.  The Jordanian constitution chart shows not only a new era, but growth, major change and opportunity.  In another ten years or so, they will lose their figurehead entirely.  King Abdullah has 2 charts, one for his day of kingship, and one for his actual birthday.  While his birthday clearly shows he loves his country and feels its pain, he also is somewhat detached from it, and so he will also have to experience revolution.

Iraq is still in a state of evolution, revolution, and really, at a loss as far as how to lead themselves.  As we move into Aries times this spring, let’s hope they find a voice and a direction.  Yes, they have been used and abused, but this fact has also made it difficult for them to move on, because they are so wounded.  Unfortunately, they may begin to find their voice through revolution, spurred on by events around the world.  No more the victims of oppression!  There are still a lot of people there who cannot speak out.  Fighting within the cabinet will continue, but there will be a strong leader who emerges from the weakness before the year is out.  While the time of confusion is drawing to a close, that does not mean there won’t be someone there holding back growth.  There will be.  For some, there is advantage in keeping a people feeling weak and powerless.  And so, beware!

Iran: If you think people have given up in Iran, you are mistaken!  They are still seeking their freedom, and even if the voices of the revolution have been quelled for now, you will see occasional outbursts and then repression, and finally in 2013 will come the concerted effort that cannot be controlled.  It will take a while to happen, but know that they too are getting hopeful from events of this year.  However, Ahmadinejad is indefatigable.  So while he may have some problems with his spiritual partners, that will be for the most part kept under wraps.  He is, let’s remember, a Scorpio with Neptune in Scorpio.  The man holds on while making it look easy.  Things will start to get really tough in 2013, and that will be the beginning of the end.  In fact, this year there is an outlay of money that also causes a stir behind the scenes.  This is really the beginning, the tip of the iceberg, and then watch what happens.

The United States is also in a time of major change.  While we have remained somewhat detached in the face of world rebellion, we are renegotiating partnerships, and holding off on commitments until June.  Then we will announce who we want to support, and we’ll also be free to let our “rule of law” side get involved more publicly.  The US is feeling vulnerable and finds it better not to say anything, because there is also confusion about which path to take.  Therefore, none at all will be taken; only a nervous watching ensues.  As rebellions heat up, we will have words without much action, and will try to assume a mantle of a guide or director, but words are cheap.  To be fair, we will sympathize with other nations’ growing pains, and once past the worst of April, will take an active step to help others grow through our guidance in May.  This will clearly be a painful time for all, and we will empathize and support.  But there will be battles within our nation about how and why and when to get involved.  We get "stuck", but also very compassionate too.  So our nation will undergo its own growing pains, although much of it will be behind the scenes.

Obama will make statements—some we will love, others will cause criticism, and he will sometimes find himself confused by his people (Americans).  Serious works on banking issues and infrastructure will occur this year, and over all, it should be a good year for the USA.  We can keep our role as a world leader by acting as a healer and a listener of the world’s woes.  We are definitely a nurturing Mommy this year.

Obama: The chart of a president often gives what is going to happen to the country he leads.  Obama’s chart shows that he feels the vulnerability of the people, not only here but abroad.  But frankly, after the election losses, he finally has gotten the hang of it.  While he felt, like everyone else, lost about what to do for the last two years, we are going to see him get stronger.  He also has to heal his own vulnerability, and he will get that chance in the next years, but one of those things was his health—smoking.  He was in dire straits last year beginning around this time, and now we know that’s when he was quitting smoking, and it has to have taken a toll at that time on his relationship.  Now he is going to fight that last battle with his detractors in April, probably as a result of world events.  But once April is over, watch him show himself as a strong leader with new ideas and promoting growth.  We are going to see his leadership progress dramatically, especially after the challenging events of the first week of April.  You will hear many announcements and many speeches about technology and growth within the month.  The only problem is, as Mercury is retrograde, it will take a long time to get anything underway, so it may appear to be all talk, no action, because April is a time of technological snafus and miscommunications.  It’s not going to hurt him or deter him in the end.  He will just keep moving forward, and everyone will see that he is rising to the top.

Taurus-time (May) will be all about new business and getting stability.  There will be growth and the ability to save and work on the budget and make it happen.  Despite stubborn foes, it will still happen; growth is inevitable, and so Obama will grow as a leader.  I am concerned in the spring that one of his loved ones may be vulnerable to attack or smear or something, but all will be well by June.  This situation will be a trying time for him, but he will make it through.  Summer shows him working from 2 homes and, of course, vacation to a watery area. (Hawaii?)  Fall sends him back to work and reiterating his leadership, but there appears to be some danger or some rough home situations in later October/early November.  I am also concerned about February 2012, but heck, maybe he just forgets Valentine’s day.  His aides need to make certain he doesn’t!

One added note—there is something in Michelle Obama’s chart showing difficulty or danger in October/November, and the other major thing is that her ability to speak is removed by Pluto.  This last item, the not being able to speak, has been going on for a while, but it is going to get more intense as we get into this year and next year.  Still, Michelle also has a strong leadership position growing for herself.  It’s just that she can’t entirely take on that role.  Maybe this is election-time muzzling, but let’s remember this woman is intelligent and powerful in her own right.  It has to be quite a sacrifice to be a First Lady and keep her mouth shut all the time.  Michelle, meet Jacqueline Kennedy.  I wish I could say she takes a lesson from Barbara Bush, but she won’t.  She’ll be more like Laura.  Well….not entirely. ;)
